Friend or a Foe?

Many people confused about NPA(New People's Army) rules in our society nowadays. Are they our Friends or  a Foe?Way back in times of Marcos regime Revolutionary people contributed much in fighting and achieving our freedom.They fight for the oppressed Filipino people.Their ultimate goal is for the benefits of their fellowmen. To defend them from the oppressors and predatory. They let themselves suffer for us to have our desired freedom. They offered their lives  for the country. Filipino people consider NPA as their Hero that time. But in present time can we consider them a HERO? I don't think so......they threatened people. They keep on planting bombs for the military. They do not think that many  civilian Filipino people  be implicated as they do that action. They aim for peace but they are all the causes of troubles. There were many issues involving them.If they can't get what they want they cause troubles by burning cars and buses like what had happened in Davao Del Sur, May 22,2011.What else fighting for?Now, are we consider them our Friends,our Defender? or simply our Enemy for peace?

Who will Decide? Who can Decide? Who must Decide?

   The most controversial issue now here in the Philippines is all about the church intervention on Responsible Parenthood. This bill(Responsible Parenthood) was supported by our President Benigno Aquino III but strongly condemned by the Catholic church. Bishops Cruz said that the President displays arrogance during his speech on the graduation at University of the Philippines. He further said that Responsible Parenthood will suppressed life which God give to us.

   Population explosion is the main reason why Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Bill became one of the Priority Bills of the President. If a family has four or ten children, the parent cannot provide their basic needs such as food, clothes, shelter and education. The children may suffer hunger and become uneducated or worse ignorant. The President also encouraged the couples to choose methods of limiting the number of children in the family. The decision of choosing artificial and natural method of family planning is in the couples hand.
   However, the church did not support this bill. Natural and artificial method of family planning prevent the formation of life. Using pills;other contraceptives is a form of abortion which is equivalent of killing somebody. These contraceptives have chemicals that may harm the health condition of the user. Furthermore, God is the source of life and at the same time has an authority to take back our life.  
   The intervention of the church on Responsible Parenthood divides the Filipino people. Some supporters on Responsible Parenthood said that there is a separation of powers between the Church and the State. On the other hand, Church supporters doesn't care about separation of powers. The Church concerned is all about LIFE. Some skeptical Filipino said that the conflict between the Church and the State is nonsense. For almost half century the government was failed of improving the economic status of every family. The state also failed of giving its primary obligation to the people which is education. Since the government cannot give enough education, private sectors; church leaders founded schools. Most prestigious Universities and Colleges here in the Philippines were owned by the Catholic Church. The Church has a big part of educating the Filipino children without paying/free education. But both the Church and the State failed of giving free education.
    As a common people, who will really decide about Responsible Parenthood? Who can decide? And who must decide? Is it the State?the Church?You?
